What is "Name my Map"?
Name my map is a service that allows a domain name (ex. map.myname.com) to point to a map of the address you enter.
Are there any fees to use this service?
It is free to StartDomains.com - Xeas Ltd customers who are using StartDomains.com - Xeas Ltd's DNS servers. However the pricing structure might change in the future, and this service might no longer be free.
How do I use it?
- Log-in to your account, and go to the domain name you want to use.
- Scroll down to the "name my map" section, and click the "change" button next to "current service".
- Click the "enabled" radio button, and press the "save changes" button. This will direct you to the "name my map" settings.
- Enter your host (the host would be "map" in http://map.mydomainname.com for example) and address information. Click "save changes". You are now ready to use this new host.
- Now, just enter the domain name for your map service, and that host (ex. map.mydomainname.com) will point to a map of the address entered.
